Soap Book: Completion Date

Finally. Finally after five years I can announce a completion date for Soap! The Inside Story of the Sitcom that Broke all the Rules. The completed book will be sent to the publisher on Nov. 29th.

After the publisher has reviewed it, the book will then be sent to press and there will, at long last, be a book with covers and pages and everything. This means that, barring unforeseen problems with the printer, the book will be out (just) before Christmas!

Wow, that feels so good to say… πŸ™‚

  1. It’s all happening so quickly now- would be a great thing to have for Christmas, but, if not, it will be coming soon enough. Much thanks for keeping up updated and for all the dedication and work you put into it. πŸ™‚

  2. It should be out just before Christmas — depends what books they have scheduled to print before ours, I think. I really appreciate you sticking with me through all of this πŸ™‚

  3. It’s beginning to look a lot like “Soap” book… (sung to the tune of “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”). Every time a page is finished, an angel gets his wings! Thanks for the good news, Aaron.

  4. Congrats. I’ve been following your progress for a while now. Soap has always been, and will always be one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. I can’t wait to read this.

  5. Thrilled! I am going to preorder mine right now.

And no Mr. Potter feelings–realistically, we must acknowledge that yours is going to be the only book ever written about the series. I (and I daresay other fans and scholars) would much rather the book took a little longer than expected if that extra time made it better.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and your achievement!
