One of the joys of writing this book was the chance to speak with the writers, producers, cast and crew about specific scenes, and to really get into the creative process behind Soap. In this example, we learn that Leslie Walker wasn’t always meant to turn homicidal. Rather, it came about when the producers saw that Marla Pennington and Jimmy Baio were having trouble finding the right way to make 17-year-old Billy and 27-year-old Leslie seem like a couple.
